Rama means ‘Sarveshu Ramante Iti Ramah’ – that which revels in everyone of us, the pure light of consciousness, the Atman, the Self, the Atma–Rama. This spiritual essence in us can come out only as a son of Dasaratha, one who has conquered all the ten indriyas – five Gnanedriyas and the five Karmendriyas. (Swami Chinmayananda)

"What is a great love of books? It is something like a personal introduction to the great and good men of all past times. Books, it is true, are silent as you see them on their shelves; but, silent as they are, when I enter a library I feel as if almost the dead were present, and I know if I put questions to these books they will answer me with all the faithfulness and fullness which has been left in them by the great men who have left the books with us."

15th March, AUR:DLF IPL is back with the bang!!! The whole country is grasped with the fever of the league. Since the matches are played at our own home land, the excitement increases even more!!! Talking about Amity, Amitians too are not far from this fever. The IPL is the next talk of the whole college after the midterms and the results!!!!

Being the official university partner of the Rajasthan Royals team, AUR has planned to telecast IPL matches in the campus. Today, arrangements were made to telecast the awesome match between Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals. The crowd started to gather from 7:30 pm, all pumped up for cheering for their respective teams. As soon as the game started, their was a huge uproar in the crowd and thus started the whole season of cheering and adrenaline rushes! There was uproar every time whether the ball went off the boundaries, the falling of a wicket, fielding errors, umpires decisions. The students were definitely pumped up!!! Not only the boys, but even the girls present there cheered their favourite teams, straining out every nerve of theirs!!

When it was IPL, how can faculty remain behind? It was interesting indeed to see even the faculty members cheer for their team, thus proving that in India, cricket is a religion!!!!! The students were really very happy ad thankful to the AUR administration for providing them with such a facility. "It's really wonderful to know that AUR has taken so much of pains to entertain us, thanks to them we can now enjoy the matches even more! " , said Himanshu, student Amity School of Hospitality. Where as a girl from Amity school of engineering said, "IPL is a real treat for die-hard cricket fans like us, and with the results out today, this match was really a boost to us!!! Thanks AUR!!!"

The match ended with Delhi winning by 6 wickets, and though this did sadden the many die-hard Rajasthan Royals fans..but nevertheless, the IPL fever has hardly diminished!!!! As rightly said by SRK, picture abhi baki hai mere dost!!!!

Watch this space for more updates on IPL in AUR!!!!!
