Why Tuesday Musings??

“Tuesday Musings” what kinda name is it??? Matlab, why Tuesday musings yaar?? asked pappu... Perplexedly I glared him a wired look. C’mon man, isn’t it surreal, somebody asking why did u choose this name! Boy he was questioning on my columns NAME and I felt as if he was poking me why is your name ‘T.Sukesh’. My dear reader, now u understand how intensely a writer is attached to his columns name. I have an innumerable unforgettable moment in my life and as a rule of them crop up on Tuesday, every Tuesday I get up in extremely deep thought, in a contemplative mood; said I. Pappu gave me displeased gaze. I knew it didn’t really quench the thirst of his eagerness. But my answer was the outcome of my attitude and ideology. I adhered to my opine as per my own beliefs.
Reader now let me tell u the deepest secret of my writing. You know, I generally write something after I encounter something, I usually write with my field of experience. “Matlab ye, ki jo meri life me mein hota hai use me likhta hu...” So,  the evolutional me thought ki why not begin something with my super most terrific encounter that ensue on TUESDAY. Now am not gonna tell you what exactly happened and why it happened! It’s long and very long; I can even write a book on that. Haha...At the moment am sure you won’t ask me to do that.
Pappu left, but he didn’t take his question away that kept splashing in my mind quite often. Was it the only reason, I myself was not very sure? But the happiest thing I figured out after an intense thought process was that people do read our blog yaar. Pappu was just the first one to ask this, many other put up the same question when I met them. I tried satisfying them with my answer and some of them even liked the reason.
Thanks a bunch. Now it’s my deepest gratitude, to all our readers. Thanks for making our blog so successful and putting up your queries so frequently. Keep reading, and keep mailing and posting your valuable comments. Love you all.

Rangeen Dreams ...

"Beautiful eyes are worthless if they present the dreams in black and white."

Every night he dreams and every morning aryan has to listen. One day aryan told him about his dream. “Oh, you too dream”, he asked. aryan lost his nerve and wanted to slap him. How can he talk like that?  Everybody can dream and aryan is no exception.

However, Aryan kept his cool and waited for him to speak. He was lost in deep thoughts.  Finally he opened his mouth. He wanted to know whether aryan too had black and white dreams like him. aryan smiled and then burst into laughter. No, aryan has rangeen dreams. Now the word rangeen conveys a lot. He was shocked. “You are kidding”, he said. But aryan was serious and had a handy answer. “What is the fun of having black and white dreams? Unless the dreams are rangeen, there is no fun having them. It is like stressing your eye balls for a 19th century black and white movie”, aryan replied.

The problem with aryan’s friend is that he believes that dreams can never be rangeen. aryan had a tough time making him understand the difference between coloured and rangeen dreams. aryan’s friend is not colour blind. He has a beautiful and pair of eyes. They are deep as well and can drown anybody who dares to look into them.  aryan feels sorry for him. There are people with Phuti Phuti eyes but they enjoy their dreams. aryan has finally come to the conclusion that beautiful eyes are worthless if they present the dreams in black and white.

aryan’s friend mostly dreams about mountains, rivers, boats and trucks. Nobody in his family has been a trekker or a trucker. He does not own a boat either.  aryan fails to understand the reason behind his grave defect. Only a counsellor can help him now.  It is believed that dreams are a reflection of what the person sees or thinks during the day.

aryan, on the contrary, dreams about………. . It is top secret. aryan is not interested in losing his secrets. However, aryan can tell the esteemed readers about the dream of his another friend. He saw a beautiful buchi with a golden chain in her delicate hands. She was walking slowly towards him trampling the lush green turf beneath her feet. aryan’s friend waited anxiously. His heart was beating rapidly and loudly. Finally the dame came closer and hung the golden chain around his neck. This is when he opened his eyes. The dame had vanished into thin air. He saw his mother waiting for him with a bag in her hands. “Get up. It is getting late. Take this bag and get us some bread from the baker”, she screamed. aryan’s friend came out of his fantasies. He took the bag and gave his mother a scornful look. She ignored the look and walked away slowly.

A number of people were waiting at the baker’s shop for their turn. Smoke emanating from the tandoor caused irritation in his eyes. aryan saw him and in typical Rajesh Khana style said: “Tumhari aankhoon main pani.”

Success and Me

"Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other".
Abraham Lincoln

Ask anyone about their future, and the impromptu answer would be: "I want to be successful!" D'uh, I mean, which human in his/her senses would want to be a failure?? Hehe, jokes apart, all of us run in this rat race to find success and happiness, without even knowing about what do we actually search for!!

The movie "fashion" beautifully showed a contrast between people who were successful but not happy and those who owned up their success to their happy lives. In my point of view, success follows happiness rather than the vice-versa. Because unlike success, happiness is totally under our control; being happy all depends on our perspective. Of course other factors also come into play like hard work, perseverance etc...You obviously don't expect to pass your tests by just smiling!

I also believe that a person who sets his/her goals right and work up to it without actually down his/her morals, is bound to be successful. Success for me is like a butterfly, fluttering from one person to another. But what is left behind is the sweet nectar of joy. So rather while the butterfly comes fluttering back to u, enjoy the present moments!

For the readers who are astonished by these thoughts of mine and wondering why did I talk about all this is because the only source of success for us right now is the Exam Season.....and u better not take it a mere butterfly! Good luck everyone... tally raho!

NOT my WRITING but your THOUGHTS

Posted in

Hey you, yes you, the cherished and frequent reader of our frequent and bubbly blog, now we have something for you, especially for you. I graciously dedicate this to you and want to say heartfelt thanks for your sincere reading and able feedback.

You people have already read “THE BUBBLE” and “THE OTHERSIDE”... Now here is something which is not my writing but your thoughts. I‘ve just tried to recapitulate a few things which we all gonna overlook again, not now but a few years later and then we could not make our thoughts, an action again...

How crazy we are na..? We never realise, we mess up things so easily, we kick and gift bumps to our chum on his b’day @ midnight, we hop out of our hostel and lope to nearby “dhaba” to get foodstuff at midnight just because my friend is hungry , we hurt him/her and even yell on him ‘why are you not talking to me’, we bunk classes and sit in cafeteria just to have a coffee amid a gal or when we have an incomplete assignment sheet, we sit on pavement and watch couples hanging around wish if I would had one and sat with her and not with these morons around me.. we call our friends girlfriend as “your girl” merely for the reason that we won’t cross the line of ownership, we search money in our fati-purani jeans when we have a debit card with 0.000 balance, we keep on wearing the same jeans for a month or even more than that amid a lazy and difficult thought of washing it, we cry loud and make plague promises when our friend is sick or he meets an accident.

We are super brave, nothing can stop us, we will win the world and our convictions touch the sky. Yup, it’s the college life, we never realize how badly we gonna miss it after we finish our degree. The screwing up of things seems so easy na..!, the sitting on pavement with pals and imaging to sit a girl and not with my moron mates around me but for no reason and we find it later that sitting with morons was more fun than to be with a girl..U knows... If not I tell you, reader, I too never felt that am gonna overlook those ages again and my eyes will turn watery. I will think of turning the time back and correct my silly miss happenings...
For me it’s just 6 months left and I will end up my college masti. I wish if I could delude time and run back. But it’s the crude rule, life goes on and on. So, there are moments which you gonna miss from the core, so buddy enjoy it to fullest instead of swatting mosquitos.

Wish you wacky Summers..hheh!!!

Strange Encounter...

Aryan is very busy guy as his friends always comment!!!!But the real thing is that he always wants to be busy rather involved in some work... woh kya hai na neendh nahi aati na. Leave this all yeh sab us ka personal matter hai but what happened last night er...er Saturday night was really interesting. Aryan was chatting with one of his good old friend. His friend got upset with Aryan as the chatting lead to some serious jokes which made her (Aryan’s friend) annoyed. No doubt she understands Aryan well but yaar limits bhi koi cheez hoti hai na.  Aryan feels sorry for that but kambakth dosti aur limit strange combination!!! Actually, he believes friendship occurs with eccentric people and with the span of time they become just like your heartbeats. But here the case is little different... Aryan pinched her on some serious issue and ... he is sorry for that now!!!
Aryan is proud of his this friend as she at least knows tehzeeb wa tamadun rather sanaskar but the case is not like this every time. Take the example of Sunday morning when Aryan along with his friends were chilling at nearby dhaba when highly educated, modern and high-society bucchi, aryan’s polite name to modern women came. Aryan was surprised when she asked for cigarette from the vendor!! Thing even became worse when Aryan expressed his views among his peers. All in one chorus Ultra modern gals hain yaar you are journalist not social worker!!! So Just Chill!!! Very true!!! But in the hearts of hearts Aryan compared his worthy friend to them. In fact she is much superior to these bucchies who always blame Indian government for their suffering instead of asking themselves. I am really proud of you dear!! May you live long so our friendship.... All the best for your coming exams...!!!!

Summers and Me

Phew!!! Its mid-April and my gosh the sun is blazing already!! I mean, I was still cherishing the sweet winter when all of a sudden the hot dry winds got me back into the present!!!! Summers are back, and this time, even stronger than before!! Sweaters have been replaced by sweaty shirts; coolers and AC’s are already working 24/7; and all of us are fervently praying for the weather to cool down a bit! This has been the scene of our campus for the past month; all of us here are dreading the worst part of the season already!!!
With our final semester exams approaching, it is getting a little difficult to ignore the heat and focus completely on studying. At least this is what my friends and I were going through, so we thought of getting a cooler this weekend to kill the heat in our rooms. So we went, in the blazing hot afternoon to the city and believe me, those 3 hours in the market were nothing less than the torture!! The heat was so intense, that even getting into malls gave only a temporary relief!!! To add to the worries selecting the best amongst so many was another difficult task to do! Thank god I had my friends along who helped me to pick the better than the best; else I would have literally melted down in the market itself!! Of course I am much happier now; sitting in front of the cooler is what I call heaven during summers!!!
And I honestly think that this season is much more fun-filled, especially during exam time! Staying awake the whole night, going for a shower for like 2-3 times a day, water fights all through the corridors, soaking ourselves in ice cold water and then catch cold.  Summers do bring life in the hostel!!! Perhaps that is why I like the even semesters here...and though it is my second experience only, but still I prefer giving my exams in a playful mood rather than in a shivering mode (as it happened in the 3rd semester finals!!! What your opinion???
So before I sign off, heres hope that you don't get barbecued in the scorching summers!!! Take good care of yourselves, and good luck for the exams.... (Wish me luck too!!)

It is true that hard works are always appreciated, it may be little bit late but it happens, and it happened. The time was of the honour for the contribution towards Amity, and when the person on podium announced the name M. Z. Zulfi, ASCo, AUR, suddenly appeared a huge round of applause and crowd started hooting his name, Zulfi... Zulfi... I too wanted to give my contribution in the ovation but I kept my camera stiff and focused, and made a perfect frame when my dear friend Zulfi received a Bat from “Faiz fazal”. Yes, you guessed it right, Faiz fazal the leading batsman of “Rajasthan Royals”. And it all happened on 12th April 2010, when 6 players from the team “Rajasthan Royals” visited our college, which is the official University partner for the team.
The excitement ran inside me, I was very happy for Zulfi because the guy really deserved this. He has been working like anything for ASCo as well as AMITY and his work proved up to the mark every time. Zulfi, a truly dedicated guy, who, after receiving the award ran back to his camera for the shoot. I saw him going back to camera; expression on his face was still seeking the appropriate frame for the shoot, instead of carrying glittering proudy face.In the strength of 2000 students of AUR, he was one among the five personalities who got honoured by receiving bats from the players. Other 4 peoples who got honoured for their contribution and dedication towards AMITY were Divya Bakshi – B.Sc. Bio-Tech, for outstanding academic performance, Neeraj Saini – MBA and Ankita Chaudhary – B.Tech, for brilliant sports performance, Abhinav Sehgal – MBA for his Managerial skills, Jaya – MBA again for brilliant academic results. These all are masters of their fields, Hats Off to all of them. Cheers habbiee..!

Blood donation camp at AUR

SUPRIYA BOHRA
ASE, AUR

9th April, AUR:Amity University Rajasthan, in association with Inner Wheel Club, Jaipur organised a blood donation camp here in the campus today. The donation began at around 10:30am and continued till 3pm wherein around 180 students from all the departments along with the faculty members donated their blood for the noble cause.

The camp was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.)Raj Singh, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor AUR. In his words, “I donated blood for the first time and it feels really great! I would like to urge the youth as well to come forward for this cause".About the club, Inner Wheel Club (main) has been an active participant in various efforts like the upliftment of the underprivileged, women empowerment, water supply in rural areas, family welfare plans etc not only in Jaipur, but even in areas of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Tanuja Agarwal, president, IWC said, “The youth should come forward to be a part of such social activities as they are not only the healthiest population but also the future of any nation”. She further added,” All the social services one can think of, donating blood is the greatest social activity”.

There was a large turn up for the donation, and some were indeed sad when they couldn't donate due to some medical reasons. Nevertheless, this is what the proud donors had to say about the donation and the camp:"I'm donating Blood for the 1st time in my life. Feeling very proud that I am helping someone through this great program", Rohan Singh, Faculty ASCO
"Apart from teaching, the curriculum, it is very important for the faculty to inculcate such qualities and emotions in students that will connect them with the students. The moment you donate blood, you suddenly feel connected to the masses at large. I' feel great that I could be a part of this endeavour" Rakesh Premi, Program Co-ordinater, ABS."This has definately been the best thing of my life! Feels great that I did something for others!" Vineet Agarwal, B.Tech ECE
"Couldn’t be happier than this. wow!!! My efforts can actually be a life saver for someone..." Prathishtha, B. Tech CS

It was indeed a wonderful initiative taken by Rashmi Premi and Rakesh Premi on behalf of AUR to bring this camp into the university and raise awareness amongst the students about the importance of blood donation. I urge all the students to please come forward to donate blood...because you don't lose anything by doing so, but an ounce of yours could save someone's life....
